Working within the Contract Electronics Manufacturing Industry, The Supply Chain Manager is part of the Senior Management Team and is directly responsible for the management of the Purchasing and Stores/Logistics Teams.

There will be direct responsibility and accountability for an operations budget and delivering agreed annualised cost savings within the supply chain.

The Supply Chain Manager will have responsibility for delivering improvements in productivity, quality, processes and systems through new initiatives and best practices across the supply chain and the Business.

This position is based on a 4-day working week, Mon-Thurs (39 hours per week)

Main responsibilities include:

  • Negotiating terms and prices with suppliers and service providers, monitoring and assessing their performance and maintaining cost-effective practices.
  • Flow-down of Company and Customer requirements throughout the supply chain as required.
  • Work closely with the Quality manager ensuring the quality of the supply chain including returns.
  • Manage the supply chain audit schedule including on-site/remote assessments.
  • Contract reviews to ensure quality requirements are identified and met.
  • Manage staff development and HR within the area of responsibility including but not limited to, staff appraisals, multi-skilling, performance.

Experience: PCB assembly (TH & SMT): 3 years | IPC Qualification preferred

Working within the PCB Assembly Team and reporting to the PCB Team Leader the PCB Technician will be required to carry out a wide range of production tasks associated with the PCB assembly process as depicted in the skills matrix. Responsible for ensuring that product is manufactured within the specified times and to the required quality standards.

High quality hand soldering in both through-hole & surface mount techniques are essential. Experience in rework, repair and modifications also required.

IPC qualifications would be beneficial. If not, training can be provided.

Working within the Test & Calibration Team and reporting to the Cell Team Leader, the Quality Technician will be responsible for ensuring that the product quality conforms to the customer, company and regulatory Quality Standards, working within a fast paced environment.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Quality Technician within a Contract Electronics Manufacturing (CEM) environment. Computer-literate. Knowledge of AS9100 and IPC qualifications: 610, 620, J-STD would be a distinct advantage. If expired, training can be provided.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Carry out product verification through inspection and or test.
  • Responsible for ensuring quality levels of manufactured product conforms to the customers, company and regulatory Quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain generic and specific inspection, test schedules and procedures.
  • Evaluate and repair customer returns.
  • Carry out calibration activities under the supervision of the Cell Leader.
  • Provide feedback to the Quality Manager / Cell Leader on adherence to the production plan and advising when due dates cannot be met.
  • Attending meetings as required
  • Continuous Improvement: investigating, identifying and rectifying issues affecting or likely to affect, Quality, Process, Product or Due Date Conformance, escalate if unable to resolve.
  • Ensuring the quality, environmental and health and safety requirements of the company, customer and regulatory authorities (ISO and AS9100) are fully complied

We are looking for a candidate with a of Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Quality role within a small batch/high mix electronics manufacturing environment. Also open to candidates who have a strong PCB career in a quality support role or Test Engineering background, looking to step up and into this role. We would expect to see a CV with PCB Manufacturing experience, and a high level of exposure to quality requirements such as process, production, compliance engineering etc.

Good communication skills are essential as there will be a requirement to meet with or speak over the phone with customers and also liaise with colleagues. You must be computer-literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Auditing experience to at least ISO9001:2015 (AS9100:2016 preferred). Good knowledge of Quality Management System standards and requirements.

IPC 610 and IPC 620 qualifications would be desirable

Reporting to the Quality Manager the Quality Engineer role is wide ranging. You will be involved in maintenance and improvement of the company Integrated Management System, which is certified to ISO9001, AS9100 & ISO14001.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support in all aspects of Product Assurance ensuring all internal & customer requirements are satisfied.
  • Plan, carry out and record audits to ensure quality levels are maintained.
  • Support non-conformance management (failure analysis, root cause corrective and preventative actions).
  • Assist the Test & Calibration Cell team lead in the co-ordination of the calibration & tool log, including performing internal calibration activities.
  • Generate AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports, including the maintenance of the FAIR Log.
  • Supplier evaluation through received documentation approvals including Supplier AS9102 FAIR review.
  • Carry out good’s inwards inspection.
  • Support correlation of quality key performance Indicators (KPI’s) for NCR Process, Inspection, production defect reporting, Corrective actions and re-training
