Description:
Reporting to Directors, the Operations Manager is a key member of the company management team and will be expected to take ownership of all production departments including test and supply chain management.
The role will include exciting challenges such as driving costs out of manufacturing whilst ensuring reliability and quality requirements are met at all times. There is also opportunity for Operations Manager to be promoted to Director level within the next 5 years.
The key responsibilities of this position are to manage cell leaders, motivating and directing them in matters technical and operational. To produce, distribute and maintain KPIs associated with areas of responsibility to ensure that company targets are consistently met. Conduct briefings to inform staff of operational issues, performance and other news. Undertake staff appraisals address performance or disciplinary issues. Ensure that all health and safety, housekeeping, quality and environmental policies are adhered to and that the Environmental Management System is maintained and adhered to.
Requirements:
Recent Operations/Production management experience within a successful company. Broad-based technical & product knowledge in electronics manufacture (10 years experience would be preferred). Should possess strong organisational and leadership skills including excellent communication both written & verbally.
